Connecticut's 24/7 line for reporting suspected child abuse or neglect. DCF reviews every report right away and aims to begin an investigation within two hours when a child is at imminent risk of harm, or within three days otherwise. Only mandated reporters have to give their names.

How to Get Help

Call (800) 842-2288 (TDD (800) 624-5518) as soon as you suspect abuse or neglect. Share what you know, such as the child's name, age and address, what happened and when, and who may be responsible.
