Bilingual (English/Spanish) 10-bed, 24-hour congregate living program for men 18 and older with a documented HIV diagnosis who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. At intake, men must also show a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis, motivation to be in recovery, and Medicaid coverage. Bilingual, bicultural staff offer case management, referrals to treatment programs, referral and support for medical services, support finding permanent housing, and links to the recovering community. The average stay is 18 months, and men can stay longer if necessary.

Residential community work-release and reentry facility in Bridgeport for men leaving incarceration (~90-120 day stays). Provides housing plus one-on-one case management covering employment, job training, behavioral health and substance-use support, financial literacy, and family reunification. Referrals come through the CT Department of Correction only.

Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County

Builds affordable homes for ownership by low-income families. Partner families contribute 200-500 hours of sweat equity and repay an interest-free mortgage. Over 200 homes built since 1985.

Homes for the Brave

Transitional housing and supportive services for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Provides case management, employment assistance, and pathways to permanent housing.

Emergency shelter for adults experiencing homelessness; to get a bed, call 2-1-1 first, because beds are assigned through Connecticut's Coordinated Access Network (CAN). Recovery Network of Programs runs the shelter and provides comprehensive case management, including assessment, transportation, life skills training, and individual, group, and family work. Free medical care is available through Southwest Community Health Center, and psychiatric and substance use assessments are done on site.

Nonprofit operating CTARR-Certified Recovery Residences in Bridgeport. Purchases distressed properties and converts them into affordable sober living homes. Teaches home improvement trades to men in recovery. Rates $500-$1,500/month with need-based scholarships and "Work for Rent" programs available.
